what does the 2002 ford windstar cluster....does it affect the other things beside the indicator panel on the dash

the indicator needles on the van were not working.  I know the indicator lights and needles do not work properly.  Does this also affect the function of other car functions such as timing and transmission shifting exceleration etc.

The speedometer on my Ford Winstar 2003 is stuck at 120 MPH. Can this be fixed? Can the cluster module be replaced with another one? Will the miles on the car change when replacing the cluster module?
