Ford Fusion fuel economy issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car will accelerate fine then once it gets
up to 50 mph it starts to decelerate  then it will
slowly get back up to speed again maintain
then start to lose power again. When I shut
the car off it says “hillside assist not available”
never seen that before

A clogged fuel filter can cause this. I would try replacing that first, as it's relatively cheap and usually pretty easy to replace.

Rachel did you figure this out? If so and you replaced the fuel filter, where is the filter located?
