Can I put a p255/75R17 on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee lattitude? original size is 225/65R17

Going from 225/65-17 ---- that is a diameter of 28.52" and will be 32.06" diameter with 255/75-17 -- is . More than 3½" taller. Your speedometer will read 65mph at a true speed of 73. Not to mention they will probably rub wheel -wells in a turn. That's a bit much... your car, your call. Remember you are raising gear ratios also, including final drive and will lose a LOT of low-end acceleration

Yeah you'd gain 3 1/2 inches at height, But The actual tire is only going to be an inch and three quarters bigger that your stock tire. I just ordered mine, tired of this jeep looking like a grocery getter, time for the lift kit too. Your Jeep is about 5 years old at this point, its time to start tearing these things down and making them the way we want them to be.

Another thing to consider is your offset. Theres only about an inch clearance between the stock tire and the bottom of the front struts. So your 1 3/4 diameter larger tire just isnt going to fit. If your not going to lift it, your going to have to get wheel spacers. That means that your tires will stick out from your wheel wells a bit, giving you a wider wheel base, and the appearance of a wider tire.
