Oil change for 2015 Nissan Altima 3.5

Asked by Apr 19, 2019 at 12:22 PM about the 2015 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought my car with 45k miles, no records
of oil changes, have kept up with
conventional oil changes but have heard my
car requires synthetic. I have 70k now on
her, and am wondering if I should just
continue with the conventional oil or switch
to synthetic?

Nissan recommends synthetic oil, but you can use conventional oil safely in your Altima. Oil specs are on the engine dipstick and in your owners manual, available on line, just google your car.
