2015 Altima 2.5s - no acceleration

Asked by May 29, 2017 at 11:41 PM about the 2015 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Intermittent problem. I step on the gas and nothing
happens while in drive. When it happens the brake
lights are always on, even though I'm not pressing
on that pedal. When I tap the break, then the car
will go. Usually when this is happening when I turn
off the car, the brake lights will still be on even
though I'm not in the car. Does anybody know if in
these newer vehicles the acceleration is not allowed
when the break is engaged? It's not even revving.
Also does anybody have any ideas, as the
dealership says they can't figure out how to fix it.
