Two caliper guide pins are different top/bottom which one goes where?

Asked by May 17, 2018 at 01:03 AM about the 2015 Volkswagen GTI 2.0T S 2-Door FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just cleaned the caliper pins and when I was taking them out I didn't notice
they are different. One has notches lengthwise of the pin and the other one has
no notches but a rubber/plastic bit near the end. Basically I am not sure which
goes where and cant find an answer anywhere else.
