When getting alternator tested it says bad
regulator but when i take thw alternator out of my
car and get tested in orileys they say it regulator is
good
If the voltage is 13.5 or more with the engine running, there is a bad connection in the alternator. A symptom usually is that the battery slowly goes dead, however, the ammeter sometimes shows a positive charge.This is usually a bad diode in the alternator and less often a bad regulator. If this is the case, the alternator needs to be replaced.
