2015 chevy impala ltz

My left rear light was hit with a waffle ball bat and it
broke my red light cover now when I put on signal it
starts to blink fast with a sensor message and the
left light doesn't work at all even when pushing the
brake . Do I have to reset sensors

SOUNDS LIKE IT NEEDS SOME NEW LIGHT BULBS..
