misalignment problems

Asked by cm016724 Apr 11, 2016 at 09:06 PM about the 1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently installed a factory reman engine. Now it chirps and squeals and is tearing up my serpentine belt. Put new motor mounts in at the time. Any suggestions for checking alignment  would help. Thanks

I bought a alternator from a parts store that sells a lot of Mexican replacement parts. Turns out the alternator I purchased was about a 1/4 inch off for the mounting bracket so it wasn't aligned properly. Same thing with the water pump. Go to Napa or a established store
