2015 genesis g80 battery problems

Asked by Heaven_1017 Dec 27, 2018 at 05:04 AM about the 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought my 2015 g80 last month. Started
getting colder , battery died and was
replaced , only a month has gone by and
already it’s dying again if left sitting for more
then 15-20 hours without being started and
last night died again after only 10 hours. My
guess is something must be pulling from the
battery even while the car is off. Anyone else
have this and how was it fixed?

1 Answer

Best Guess is the car is looking for the Key Fob and communicating when it is within 20 feet and draining the battery - Put the Key Fob into a closed tin can for 20 hours to see if the battery will still drain
