c95 suburban clunks when shifting into out of drive, frothing high transmission fliud. Under stand its the cooling system. Is it new trans time or fixable w coolant repair?
They make an anti-foaming additive for ATF, try one of those before more expensive solutions. If water or more likely air is getting in, it can cause frothing, as well as overfilling or overheating fluid. Check it with an infrared temp gauge after driving it for a while. Perhaps the trans cooler is partially plugged.
