2002 Ford Ranger

I have recently bought a 2002 Ford Ranger. I
attempt to start it and it fires up but within a
minute it dies. My dad and I have checked the
fuses, the inertia switch. The fuel pump turns on
everytime. Any clue why?

try starting it, then immediatly putting the gas petal to the floor. if the engine revs and it stays alive until you release the petal, then its a vacuum leak.
