2015 Forester rear differencial

Can the rear differencial on a 2015 Forester be
safely used as a jack point?

Maybe if it's cast iron (steel) but it's definitely not a safe lift point if it's made of aluminum or some junk grade metal. You will punch a big hole in it. A sure way to test it is with a magnet. A magnet will be drawn to steel. Also, you have to see that you don't break the axles off. If it's not tough as a Jeep, it could break.
