Check engine light

Asked by Jan 20, 2017 at 04:59 PM about the 2002 Ford Ranger 2 Dr XLT Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check engine light came on and truck was
missing out a little. Codes came back as
misfire number 5, camshaft sensor, and
ignition coil. I replaced all of the above plus
spark plugs and wires. It will turn over but
will not start. Any other possibilities? Thank
you.

The crankshaft sensor is usually the culprit, the motor will not run if it is bad. You should get a scanner to read any trouble codes, this would point you in the right direction for repair.
