Engine light reset

How do I rest engine light on 2014 beetle put in
battery & air filter then engine light came on went to
auto store they ran stray gave me code p043f said it
was no big deal

all u need to do is unhook your battery for about thirty minutes. when you unhook it step on brake pedal and hold for a few seconds to drain any residule electricity that the ecu can use to retain memory. when you plug battery back up light should be gone. although if the computer detects the same problem it may return again
