Fuel pump stopped working

I have a 89 crown victoria an the fuel pump is not
truning on I changed the relay err thing was workin
just fine a couple days ago till I backed it up an the
car completely died an drained the battery had to
get a jump

Ok but if i got my foot on the gas it will start n shut off

yes it sounds like the pump, you should put a gauge and see what the pressure is
