Usually the trans cooler is located behind the grill and in front of the radiator. Is yours damaged?
Yes. 2019 2500 HD: There is an opening in the bumper below the main grill where the transmission cooler is open and exposed to rocks, etc from road surface. My transmission cooler was recently damaged during a hail storm and GM is trying to dodge the issue.

I have a 2004 Chevy 2500HD that I just bought. It has the Vortec 6.0 liter V8. Its running 2500rpm at 70mph on the highway. Can i change the rears in the rearend to get better mpg with lower rpm.
