How to disable seat belt chime

Asked by Shannon Dec 18, 2016 at 12:12 AM about the 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I have tried many things to disable this mechanism.  However, the closest one
that worked managed to light up the airbag alarm.  I really need some help
here.  I broke the seat belt clasp and ever since, it has been making me lose
my mind.  Please help, I need some advice.

Locate the yellow connector under the driver seat. On the male side of the connector you will see 4 wires---> Red, Black, Yellow, Brown. Yellow and brown are OPEN circuit when buckle is fastened. Yellow and brown are CLOSED circuit when the seat belt buckle IS NOT fastened. Just cut one of the 2 wires, either yellow or brown. (Or both if you prefer)
