AC Compressor and Fan not turning on

Asked by Clif May 27, 2020 at 05:18 PM about the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No AC in van. Can not hear the compressor engage at all. Radiator Fan is
not turning on either (which I am told the AC will not turn on if the fan does
not).
I looked over the fuses, they look to be intact. I removed the Fan relay and
jumped it, the fan DID turn on and I then tried the AC, still no AC.
The local mechanic says bad compressor, but is there something else that
would cause both of these items not to work?

Both front and back blowers work. plenty of "air" moving around in the vehicle, it is not cooled. Down here in Texas, AC is not normally optional. Please help.
