fuel pump or computer

Bought my 2000 Jimmy two weeks ago
been doing fine as far as running but
jumped in to pay off and it died two
blocks from home think the fuel pump
quit or brain box?

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
