How should I fix check engine light?

Asked by Charlie Jul 13, 2018 at 04:13 PM about the 2005 Honda Civic Coupe LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a honda civic 2005 automatic. I am trying to fix it to pass the smog test but the CEL comes on. I took it to Autozone to see what code it is. It turned out to be P0741. I looked it up and it has to do with torque converter. Now, a friend offered to take my car to his mechanic and the guy said it has to replace 3 sensors. I don't know what to believe.

1 Answer

I would have a transmission specialist check it out.
