Does your Envoy seem a little bit louder on start up and gets quiet after a few minutes of running? Mine had a crack in the manifold which would allow some exhaust under the hood which might explain your condition. The part is not too bad to buy, but it can be a problem to get the old one out. Take it to someone with experience to do it right, otherwise some have ended up with broken bolts left behind in the block. Best of luck with it. (PS, my Envoy is a 2004 6 cyl.)
