I had the same problem with an 06 Envoy Denali. Engine died in traffic, wouldn't start. towed to York, PA GMC, When they got to it the next morning, started fine. $300 ignition switch replacement. 150 miles down the pike it dies again. towed again to small shop and checked right away, "No power to the fuel pump". underside of engine compartment fuse block corroded. $800 replacement fixed it, now four years ago.

You Replace it with aftermarket fuel pump which has the wires different so you need to drop the fuel pump and check your wiring the wires may be switch on the after market fuel pump that I got the power wire is the 2nd wire from the end and the ground wire is the second wire from the front now u have two purple which u have to figure out one go on each end of the plug hopefully this'll help

I'm sorry the power wire is the second wire on the plug which should connect to the gray wire and the wire next to that should be black and both purple wire goes on the ends which one I don't no.

At the pump the wires are (from top view) grey (far left), Solid purple, Solid purple, and last is black. That's the Factory harness at the pump, nothing else. I have no clue how the aftermarket pumps are set up though?! That's probably the cause of this problem. I'm having the same exact problem right now. Did Anyone figure this issue out?!?! If you did, Please let me know.
