Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I have a 2002 v6 Mustang. Bolt on Mods only. BBK
cold air intake BBK 65mm Throttle Body And single
Flowmaster Super 44 Muffler. Everything else is stock, but
I am not getting the acceleration I should be out of the car,
and by that I mean that my friends stock 4 cyl Ford Focus
can beat me in a race. My SES light is on and it says the
bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor is running lean. I'm not really
sure where to start to help it and really need your guys'
suggestions. Thanks.

Yes I have checked for leaks and have not found any. The code number was P1131. Could the oxygen sensor itself be affecting the performance ?
