4.3L 2003gmc sonoma fuel pump does not start when starting, then after sitting couple days it will start and run fine for over month, then reoccurs

Your fuel pump is probably going. The GM fuel pumps often show signs that they are going bad. My original pump went after about 10 years with 120k miles on it. Mine failed and I actually had to tap the bottom of the gas tank with a 2x4 to get the pump to kick over. Once they start they usually keep running.

Thanks, I wanted to make sure before put one in, so many electrical things that can go into alarm and just need reset on this that I wanted to make sure.
