Keyless code panel not working

Asked by Feb 21, 2017 at 04:13 PM about the 2002 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The code lock on outside doesn't work
when I enter the code. The pad lights
up, but it will not unlock. Any help
would be appreciated. Also, when I use
the key to tailgate it won't unlock, only
the interior locks will unlock it.

Is the code you are using correct?

yes, I have had my Expe for over 10 years and have never had an issue with this.

I would try resetting the code. Your owners manual should tell you how. You will need the original factory code to do this. Maybe this video will help --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_AH9gVqI7g
