Climb under the truck and visually inspect the gas tank. See if it looks deformed inward. If the vehicle is equipped with an evap purge valve, it can become stuck when running a self test and pull a vacuum on the tank, causing it to collapse inward like an empty beer can if you suck on the opening on the top.
