Did you tap into an electrical supply which is related to the operation of the sensor? You probably have an electromagnetic detector (one sensor on the back of vehicle). This type of sensor measures voltage generated by a magnetic field, is analyzed by the computer, which determines if the warning it set off. Try disconnecting the power supply to the LED and see if the system returns to normal operation. Check the net for troubleshooting guides for both electromagnetic and ultra sonic systems. To long to explain here.
