Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Intermittent no start. Push button start type car with foot on the brake.
Remote battery new, signal verified from remote.  Car 12 volt battery was
tested good.  When it won't start dash lites come on as well as the green key
indicator.  Let it sit come back out and it will start.  Will the computer store
codes.  The car has been at Toyota for 2 days.  THey can't verity no start
condition.  What to do?

I think I have an answer. We retrieved the car from Toyota this a.m. (SAT), Toyota had the car 2 days. could not duplicate the problem. Also no codes in computer, he said. Toyota parting words were if it happens again, have someone quick check the brake lights. If no brake lights, it's a brake lite switch. Under 20 dollars from Napa. For them to do it approx $125.00. I will dig into this next week and report back.
