oil was changed about 5 weeks ago and now have a slow, steady leak. where should i start looking?

Oil pan drain plug and oil filter would be a good place to start, especially if there was no leak prior to the oil change.

If oil is coming out that fast, you should be able to see it. May help to jack the vehicle up to get under it to look. Another common source of a oil leak would be from the oil pressure sending unit.
