My change oil very soon lights up on my
dash and have not went off. I Haven't had
The money and time to get an oil change. I
have a 2014 Chevy Malibu am I hurting my
car and if so what? My oil level is not low.

That all depends on the oil you put in, full synthetic can last up to 10000 miles conventional oil breaks down after about 3000

In other words if you have conventional oil..yes you can damage your engine, it is organic and only lasts so long, synthetic oil doesn't break down the same way and you can drive longer with it, think of oil for your car as blood for you, you need it to live

Yes, oil is the lifeblood of your engine. There is some wiggle room but don't go more than a couple thousand miles over. Especially since you're still in powertrain warranty for 5 years or 100,000 miles from the original in service date. Not changing the oil is neglect and the perfect excuse to void your warranty!
