the thef light comes on when i turn the truck on and it goes off after everything

When entering your code you must enter a 1 then the code. Adding remote you turn ignition key 9 times then the door locks should lock then push unlock.

Entering the 1 then the code didn't do anything, the shop pulled a wrong code, i removed the ashtray and found the code that way, totally different code, worked and created the 2nd code. Didn't need to input the 1 in the front of the code. The 9 times turning the ignition on-off worked, thank you.
