Fuel intake problem

Question type: General

When putting fuel in tank will take about half gallon and then nozzle shuts off
takes forever to fill the tank

its a venting problem..maybe the charcoal canister...

Yes, due to over filling the tank. Nowadays you stop filling the tank when the nossle clicks off, or the gas will spill over (internally) in the purge system thus saturating the canister thus there is no ventilation for the fumes and or pressure to escape.
