2014 jeep cherokee stalling after fueling

Get another price and opinion from an independent shop. I think the dealer is correct to a point but I doubt you need all of those items.

I would try replacing the purge valve only, before doing anything else.

thanks. We asked dealership to do that but they didn't want to just do purge valve. We are trying to find another mechanic to do this.

In process of having stalling problem resolved - service tech advised to have right fuel pump and purge valve replaced - estimate $2,500 (apparently 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited has two (2) fuel pumps - both a right & left) - Final results unknown at this time - We bought it new & no other problems except we love the car and do not want to part with it -

Was this ever fixed? Waa the repair covered under warranty? Im.having same problem with my 2014 Cherokee but it only happens when we fill up ....im considering just not filling it up anymore.

I'm having the same problem with mine. I just don't fill it all the way up, or I drive around in a safe area for a few miles after I do fill up. It's ridiculous and really dangerous. It's a known problem, but they won't fix it or address the issue.

There is a recall notice on 2014 Jeep Cherokee which I received in Feb 2021. Notice refers to these reported issues of which I experienced (stalling after fill up, multiple dash warning lights, several codes, etc.). Check your oil quantity. My Jeep oil level was very low. I got an oil change and it fixed issue. Seems low oil level will not give you idiot light on dash, but sends data to other modules in the car to have the engine shut down due to low oil. I also removed and replaced the vapor charcoal canister unit behind passenger side rear wheel. I have my fingers crossed that a full oil tank solved the problem and will check my oil level more frequently.
