My 2014 Equinox Displaying Power Steering & Stabilitrak Msg

Asked by GuruC7JRB Mar 12, 2019 at 01:02 PM about the 2014 Chevrolet Equinox LS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It threw all 8 of the following codes that the repair shop found in the memory: ECM Codes: V101, ABV101, C0010
Power Steering Codes: VP100
BCM codes: V0100, V0101, V0164
All are basically "failure to communicate" codes between electrical and misc. systems.  I was unable to get it to engage the gears to drive it.  I restarted a few times.  I called road side assistance and by the time it arrived, my car would drive again and the only sign of anything was the engine light was on. Because my car was not completely disabled and is now working, my warranty will not approve any work to look for possible solutions.  The repair center believes it could possibly be the G112 Ground, whatever that is.
I am now driving it again, but am wondering if this is possibly a weird "glitch" that has now fixed itself, or if I am going to soon be stranded when something goes really wrong!

i am having the same issues with my 2014 Equinox LT. I have only seen 2 possible corrections for it so far. My garage tried the one that is to where the wiring harness is being chaffed coming from the fuel pump and clean the wires and taple them up and file down the edges of the pump. That wasnt my problem. The other one that i just read today was possibly the transponder in the key went bad and causing issues. Have to check that out when I can. Otherwise I am still looking for answers.

My 2014 Equinox Displaying Power Steering & Stabilitrak Msg I have not had the issue with my vehicle not turning on or not being able to drive it , i can still do that for now . However, my power steering service warning and my stabilitrak warning comes on when i start my car but then will go off when i am driving sometimes. If it remains on when i am driving if i were to turn my car off for 30-40 mins the warning lights will go off for the rest of the day . I am so confused what this could be possibly a sensor issue but when the warning lights do come on when turning my steering wheel tends to feel loose . Anyone have any suggestion what this might be?
