I'm stranded too atm,and need to get to work. I am almost an hour, and a half late. I had a similar issue in a ford escape I was borrowing. From what I've seen you might need a jump start as the battery is just strong enough to illuminate the lights, but not strong enough to turn over. I can't remember how I started the escape, but it was pretty minor, and just due to the SUV being finicky.

Well after much run around , and 1000 different scenarios thrown at me. I got a new battery , got it in and to no avail I'm still broke down! at
