Car was flooded

My car was flooded with sewer/rain water last year,after 10,000 dollars in
repairs now my trunk is opening sometimes.The dealer is telling me it is the
switch, and it is not flooded related.Today I was driving down the road and
the trunk JUST open up all by itself. Do you believe this is a electrical
problem as well or just a switch issue? Because they are know trying to have
me to fixed the problem out of my pocket! Please let me know your
recommendation. Because the car was flooded up just above the height of  
the gas tank, about to the center of the car,water went all underneath the
dashboard. Thanks A Million for any help you can give me!

How paid the 10,000.00 you or insurance. it really can be be one or the other or even both. With the car flooded I would change the simplest the cheapest first..

insurance paid the 10,000 for repairs but they dont want to cover the switch but everything started to go bad all at the same time

The car probably should have been totaled. Get it fixed as there are no guarantees when it comes to flooded cars. You may have trouble with it from now on or it might not give any trouble, no way to tell. The only positive here is that it was rainwater and not salt water. Saltwater gets into a car and they are junk.
