How can I lower my 06 gmc envoy antenna?

I want to wash my 06 gmc envoy st the car wash but the
antenna is high is it safe to go to a car wash?if not how can
I lower the antenna?

Have to remove it for car washes (crecent wrench at base), I've had mine ripped out. I replaced my stock antenna with a as shorty flexible one, so no longer need to worry.
