The Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor has the 4R75W automatic transmission which replaced the 4R70W in 2003. The 4R75W is a heavy duty more powerful and durable transmission, which better meets the demand of law enforcement agencies. Apart from that, both transmission are similar and should fit in Crown Victoria Police Interceptors back to 2000. You don't say what is wrong with the transmission or in what country you reside but, if there is a Ford dealer, inquire about getting parts to have the one in your Crown Vic rebuilt.
