Car making a horrible noise.

Asked by Claylimitless91 Jul 02, 2016 at 11:22 AM about the 2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It's making a horrible noise when I'm turning at slower
speeds.. it started only on the left side I would hear the
noise. But just recently two weeks after the initial noise.
The right side starts doing it. The video I'm just pushing the
car up and down but that's the noise it makes when I'm
turning. It's the front of the car. Video link

That sounds like a strut or strut mount. When you replace a strut you should replace them in a balanced fashion. i.e., replace them in pairs or all 4 at a time. Don't just replace one. The other source for that type of noise is a sway link. Those are easy and cheap to replace. (they cost about $15 apiece and you have two up front). Replace your struts and sway links and you'll think your driving a new car.
