Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 subaru impreza has been running very hot
(somtimes) and I've noticed that the coolant reservoir if full
and when I manually replenish it back to the engine I'm
good again for a few days. I've spent over 1500 on the
cooling system. No one knows what's wrong with my car.
I've tried everything plz help me I just want to drive my car
the way it should be driven.

How many miles on the head gaskets? You may be victim of Subaru's bad engine design.

Is it indeed a 2.0t WRX or the 2.5i? If the latter FoR is correct. If the former you'll have to dig deeper as the turbo is more complex. Here's a bizarre one: check the HEATER CORE hoses for blockage. Backflushing them once saved a mysterious non-HG, non-radiator overheating scenario....

I think at least some turbos had closed deck blocks which are less likely to have head gasket problems. Not sure what engines and years though.
