Are you getting a coil trigger signal from the ignition module?

yes there is a coil trigger signal and its a new ignition module i have power to the coil and power to the distributor but nothing coming from the coil to the distributor to go to the plugs to get fire

OK so if you have power and a trigger signal to the coil and still no spark out of the coil, then it is the coil itself.

this is a new coil do you think its bad can they be tested

104,385

Yes most parts stores have the equipment to do so. But new coils are rarely bad unless they were a re-manufactured unit. Confirm that you did put a test light in between the coil positive and the coil negative and look for a flashing light during cranking, coil disconnected?

there is no flashing light when cranking when you turn the key off it flashes one time

OK next test for power to the coil positive in both key on and crank position, if you have power on both settings then you still have a fault in the ignition module and or the distributor pickup coil system, as you stated earlier that you have already replaced the ignition module then the distributor pickup is your next part to replace, but before doing that run an ohms check on the distributor wiring for an open circuit.

ok i will test that where is the distributor pickup located on a1992 geo tracker

Inside the distributor. http://www.partsgeek.com/k7w162p-geo-tracker-pickup-coil.html? utm_source=bing&utm_medium=ff&utm_content=MP&utm_camp aign=PartsGeek+Bing&gb=pp&utm_term=92+1992+geo+tracker+ pickup+coil+- +standard+motor+products+pickup+coil&ad=11620898051 You may want to price out a complete distributor assembly, sometimes a complete unit is cheaper than replacing the part.
