A/C hose

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Never had trouble since I've had the car. But now
when I took it in for a oil change it does not run
right. it doesn't have the power it had when the air
conditioner comes on and wantz to die even when
no air on & it is idling. If I push down the pedal to
pick up speed it wants to die.

    I have a 2004 Ford Taurus that the mechanic says the AC clutch is bad but recommends replacing the entire compressor but it still cooling. Is it recommended to change both?
