Check linkage to make sure it's connected, if linkage is ok, have it scanned, you may have a bad solenoid on your transmission

Where do I check For the linkage to see if it's connected?

Check the neutral safety switch under the hood, it is just above the transmission on drivers side, if your looking at the brake master cylinder, then look just under this area to the passenger side a little next to the engine but on top of the trans. check connection. may have to replace and it can be difficult just because it is easy to install it in the wrong position.

Linkage is the cable that connect ur shift lever to transmission., open hood and have someone shift it in gear and see if cable pulls the transmission linkage, can't miss it is on driver's side next to the engine just be carefull in case it does move

Have a 2003 ford taurus and it hard to put in gear. Have to keep pulling the gear to get it out of gear. What do you think it is.
