Fuel Pump Problems

Asked by craigandtina Mar 14, 2012 at 10:29 PM about the 1995 Geo Tracker 2 Dr STD 4WD Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have dropped the tank and  appears there is no power going to the pump itself. What should we check now?

I've seen the circuits inside of the fuel cut off open which will cause this issue. Unplug the connector going into the cutoff and jump the two wires together, and if that gives you power to the pump, replace the cut off switch. Or it can just be loose.
