1991 chevy s10 blazer starts on 3 to 5 cylinders

Asked by mat907 Sep 23, 2019 at 11:32 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 2 Dr Tahoe 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has the 4.3 fuel injected. Every time i start it only starts on 3 to 5
cylinders but if i give it a quarter to half throttle for 5 to 10 minutes it catches
on all cylinders and is fine. But the other day it started on what i would guess
to be 3 cylinders and was able to catch on 5 but still had a dead cylinder. I
was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or if anyone has any
ideas i am pretty mechanically inclined so i don't mind getting my hands dirty.
