wont run after it warms up
my 2003 Taurus wont start up after it warms up you let it set for a time and it will start back up until it gets warm again no check engine light comes on and it doesn't pull up any codes ? could it be the coil ?
When the problem is ongoing, if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs, if you have spark, it's not the ignition coil, but, you need to go further, If no rpm signal, you would lose spark--fuel injector pulse and possibly the fuel pump won't run other than the initial prime. The rpm signal comes from crank sensor. I'm not saying replace crank sensor, but, you need to do some testing, see what you missing. If the engine is hot wear gloves.
This is often due to a leaky injector; when you shut down a warm engine injectors continue to flood the engine and soak the plugs. Other causes could be a bad heat sensor, fuel pump going out, failing crank position sensor.
