You need three things for the engine to run. Fuel, spark, and compression. That's it. So let's find out what's missing instead of throwing parts and money at it! Spray some starting fluid down the throttle body. It should run a few seconds on the starting fluid. If so it's a fuel problem. Is the fuel pump running? Are the fuel injectors spraying? If it won't run on the starting fluid, check for spark. If you have spark, did you turn or remove the distributor when you were working on it? If so your ignition timing is off and must be reset. If you didn't disturb the distributor DON'T disturb it now! If you have spark and fuel but it still won't run, time to check compression. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing and the timing chain will have to be replaced. HTH. -Jim
