I really can't add much, but stay away. Some salvage titles might not be able to get insured or pass inspection. I saw 2 Ferrari Mondial's for $15,000 each. Why, because hey were salvage titles.

A salvage car does not always mean it has been totaled. A lot of times it is between the insurance company and the insured. We have been buying salvage cars to drive for 45 years and have never had a problem. We bought a truck that had been stolen with no damage, a car that went through a wind storm and needed the filter changed and it had some chips in the paint. Some of the others had minor body damage that we had replaced with new parts. They had to be inspected before we purchased them and they passed inspection. They all had low miles and we drove them for several years with no problems before we purchased a newer one. Once a car has been on a salvage title it stays on salvage title even after it has been repaired and state inspected.
