Turn over but not start

Asked by Megan Sep 11, 2016 at 05:32 AM about the 1989 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After a new fuel filter, plugs, oil change, I came to
the conclusion the fuel pump was weak. I've
changed that. But when trying to start her she went
Christine on me. After turning the key back into the
off position, foot off the clutch, she was still trying
to start! It took taking the back into the on-stage
position a few times to get it to stop. What could
cause this?!?

Hey now! She's a project, and beautiful in a old beaten granny kind of way Thank you for the input. It'd be easiest to change that when switch to a tilt column wouldn't it? Also she still isn't starting past turning over, do you think that's because of the ignition switch?
